Donations for Prison Courses (North America) - old

Since prisoners are unable to contribute for the ongoing support of their meditation courses, the VPT accepts donations from any person or organization who wishes to support meditation courses conducted by the Vipassana Prison Trust.

Separate accounts for the United States and Canada have been created in order to accept donations to the North American Vipassana Prison Trust. Because of cross-border tax and financial limitations, donations can only be used in a very limited way across the borders. Prison course expenses in the United States can only be paid using funds kept in the United States. Likewise, Canadian expenses must be paid using funds kept in Canada. One can, however, donate to either or both countries. Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued to you by your country of residence.

If you would like to give an online donation to help fund the Vipassana Prison Project, please use the form below. Online donations are processed through an American account. Unfortunately, online donations to courses in Canada are not tax deductible.
